  • HSLDA is the national organization which defends homeschoolers legally and works with state homeschool legislative organizations to help them protect our home education freedoms.

WHY? Your regular Financial Support Enables us to:

  • Maintain a web site with current information on issues affecting families and homeschooling, pending legislation & helping parents & lawmakers understand existing law.
  • Maintain a consistent, watchful, and influential presence in Olympia each session–communicating with key public officials regarding homeschool-affecting legislation. This can include travel, parking, and meal expenses, as well as CHN staff needing to stay away from home in Olympia for several days at a time to maintain a constant presence during extended legislative deliberations on bills affecting homeschooling families.
  • Maintain & activate a crucial free NETWORK phone tree & e-alert system to influence lawmakers on issues important to home educators.
  • Provide educational/training events (Olympia 101, 103, & more), resources, & information to educate & equip your family to understand and make a difference in our government.
  • Research, post online, and distribute reports on current state, national, & international homeschool issues.
  • Provide pertinent information on homeschooling to legislators and key officials in state agencies.
  • Network with other like-minded organizations and leaders to preserve family and home based education freedoms.
  • Offer counsel, advice, and support to homeschool families and support groups.

We are able to continue our work ONLY as a result of your gifts. They are the lifeline God uses to allow us to exist.
