TAKE NOTE! BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT:

You and your children will demonstrate how successful homeschooling can be!
You will help raise awareness of how much we value this choice in education.
Your family will learn much about our state government and how it works.

And you will help us at CHN to be very effective advocating for independent home education in the legislative process.

PLEASE PRE-REGISTER …

Space at the State Capitol is very limited so you will need to pre-register for this event.
And remember to preregister for CHN-led Capitol Tours, also.

PRE-SCHEDULE A MEETING WITH EACH OF YOUR LEGISLATORS …

We strongly encourage you to meet with your legislators, but CHN cannot schedule these meetings for you.
So, well in advance, schedule a meeting through their offices. For their contact information click here.
Because they are very busy, meetings generally last about fifteen minutes.
But legislators are always happy to meet the whole family, so bring your well-behaved children.
Tell them how much you enjoy the freedom to homeschool and how homeschooling has had a positive impact on you and your family.

Delivery of all homemade Apple Pies to Columbia Room

Check-In, get Name Badges and Reg Packets, and find your seats.

9:30-11:30 am

Brief, practical & informative presentations by various specialists on the legislature, how it works, how to be involved, and other related issues; Q&A Time Apple Pie delivery to legislators and government officials by DAC Pie Delivery Teams

Celebration Under the Dome (Rotunda)

Special Music Prelude, Attendees seated on Rotunda steps

Short Encouragements from Legislators, Homeschool Leaders, and Homeschooled

CHN-Guided TOURS OF THE CAPITOL, 60 minutes each (Reserve your tour spot as soon as possible. Attendee numbers for each tour are limited. We cannot accommodate last minute tour reservations.)

1:00 – 4:00

Visit your legislators and other government officials. (Make appointment well in advance of this event.)
Experience meetings of the House of Representatives and the Senate, if they are in session.
